God Bless the USA and God Bless our Soldiers!!

The flags my girls made to remind us of Casidy until we see him again!

We spent some time with our favorite soldier this last week and weekend. My cousin Casidy is part of the 222nd Guard unit. They are in Indiana now and will ship out to Iraq as soon as they decide they are ready, probably a month or so. His deployment is supposed to be about 14 months. We haven't had to send him right into a war zone yet and it was a hard thing to do. Saturday at the airport was an eye opening experience. So so many people came out to support their family members and the unit as a whole. I didn't think I would be as emotional as I was but he is pretty special to me and my family. On Thursday we went to the Burns arena to attend a special program for the unit, it's amazing to me the support that we as a community conitnue to pour out for our troops and I am very thankful for that. Friday we had a "birthday BBQ" for Cas, since he will not be here for his birthday and then it was time for some fun, we went to Anti Gravity arena, where they have trampolines on the floors and on the walls. My family is pretty crazy so we had a blast! Saturday we had lunch at my moms house and then went to Laser Mania and it was fun. I will say that Cas is a pretty mean competitor. Maybe playing Laser tag with a soldier trained in field artillary isn't the best idea!! Then it was time to head to the airport, say our last goodbyes watch the plane take of for Indiana. We are so proud of you Casidy and you will have prayers and support from more people than you know!! Love you!!
